Spell Five Weekly Drawing — Official Rules

Each weekly drawing period opens Monday at 12:00:00 a.m. Eastern Time and closes the following Sunday at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Sponsor's clock is the official timekeeper. Entries recorded after a period closes are not eligible for that drawing and do not carry over.

Answer the day's Spell Five puzzle correctly and one entry is recorded for you. An incorrect answer records no entry. After answering you may request up to three bonus puzzles the same day; each one answered correctly records one further entry.

Maximum four entries per person per day, twenty-eight per weekly drawing period. Entries are tied to the email address on your subscription. Multiple addresses used by one person, automated entry, or any other method of exceeding the limit voids all of that person's entries.

To enter without playing, hand-print your full name, mailing address, email address, date of birth and the phrase “Spell Five Weekly Drawing” on a 3×5 card and mail it in a hand-addressed envelope with sufficient postage to: Spell Five AMOE, Remind Guide, LLC, 96 Linwood Plaza #458, Fort Lee, NJ 07024.

One entry per outer envelope; each must be mailed separately. Entries must be postmarked by the Friday of the drawing period and received within seven days of the close of that period. Mail-in entries carry the same weight as played entries and count toward the same daily and weekly limits.

One prize per weekly drawing period: a $250 USD digital gift card, delivered by email to the address on the winning entry. Approximate retail value $250. The card is issued by a third-party retailer or card network selected by Sponsor and is subject to that issuer's own terms. It is not redeemable for cash. No substitution or transfer except by Sponsor, who may substitute a prize of equal or greater value, including a gift card from a different issuer. Limit one prize per person per drawing period.

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the drawing period. Holding more entries improves your odds proportionally; it does not guarantee a win.

Within twenty-four hours of the close of each period, the pool of eligible entries is frozen and recorded. One entry is then selected at random from that frozen pool by Sponsor, whose decisions on all matters relating to the drawing are final and binding.

Sponsor records the sealed entry pool, the random seed used, the selection result and the date and time of each step, and retains those records for four years. The selection can be re-run from those records and shown to produce the same result.

The winner is notified by email at the address associated with the winning entry, normally on the Monday following the close of the period. The winner must respond and confirm eligibility within five days of the notice being sent.

If the winner does not respond within that window, is found ineligible, declines the prize, or the notification is returned undeliverable, the prize is forfeited and an alternate winner is selected at random from the same frozen pool. Up to two alternates may be drawn; if no valid winner is confirmed the prize goes unawarded for that period.

Open to legal residents of the fifty United States and D.C., 18 or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers and directors of Sponsor and its affiliates, and the immediate family and household members of each, are not eligible. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

All taxes on a prize are the winner's responsibility. Where a winner's prizes from Sponsor reach the federal reporting threshold in a calendar year ($2,000 for tax year 2026, indexed for inflation thereafter), Sponsor will request a completed IRS Form W-9 before the prize is released and will issue a Form 1099-MISC. A winner who does not supply a valid W-9 when required forfeits the prize.

Except where prohibited, accepting a prize is consent to Sponsor using the winner's first name, last initial, city and state in the winners list and in the newsletter, without further compensation. Sponsor does not publish full names, street addresses or email addresses.

Each week's winner is published at /winners and named in the Monday email. For a written list of winners for any period in the preceding twelve months, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Sponsor address above, marked “Winners List”.

Sponsor may disqualify any person it reasonably believes has tampered with the entry process, entered by automated means, or acted in violation of these rules. Sponsor may suspend, modify or terminate the drawing if fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond its reasonable control corrupts the administration, security or fairness of the promotion, and in that event may award the prize from the eligible entries received before the cause arose.

These rules are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. Entering constitutes acceptance of these rules and of Sponsor's privacy policy. Unsubscribing at any time is free and does not affect entries already recorded for the current period.
